Six years ago, I was just on the fringe of 300lbs. I've been going up and down in weight for years, and seeing the old pictures is a bit shocking sometimes - it's so easy to forget what I looked like when my weight's been changing so much. Back when I was 280-290, I was "big" but it till seemed "normal" to me. It seems the more weight I put on, the higher my perspective of "normal" becomes, because at 400lbs, I don't really feel like I'm all that far from normal. I know I am, but when I look at myself, I don't see the size that others do. The only thing that really gives me a clear idea of my changes is when I compare two similar photos that were taken years apart and see the folds and fat that wasn't there before.
These pictures are about as close to six years apart that I can find, both outdoors on a deck enjoying the summer sun. In the first, I'm about 285-290lbs. The second, I'm 400lbs.
